Veena Ravi has been amassing these dolls for 20-25 years to recreate the underwater city of Dwarka at her home in Basavanagudi. "We've been collecting these dolls for over two decades. Each year, we select a new theme, using the figurines to depict a different tale from Hindu mythology. This year, we have chosen Dwarka, the sacred city that, as per legend, was submerged beneath the Arabian Sea as Lord Krishna bid farewell to the world," she explains. This traditional event has become a local attraction, drawing around 100 visitors daily during the Dasara festivities. Preparations for the display commence months in advance. "We start arranging the figurines in August, ensuring that every detail is just right," she adds.
